Aparthotel 2130
Llafranc, Girona
2021
The assignment consisted of the expansion of an existing aparthotel in Llafranc, with the aim of strengthening its accommodation capacity and improving the relationship of the new spaces with the privileged landscape that surrounds it. The proposal is materialized from a set of opaque and forceful volumes that are organized around lighting patios. These, not only guarantee the entry of natural light and cross ventilation, but also generate intermediate spaces of transition between interior and exterior, providing environmental quality and privacy.
The set is proposed as an intervention respectful of the topography, which takes advantage of the natural unevenness of the land to integrate in a staggered manner through terraces, supported on a concrete base that resolves the implantation in the land and establishes a direct relationship with the landscape, orienting the main spaces towards the distant views. The materiality and color palette have been chosen to dialogue with the Mediterranean environment, with textures and earthy tones that integrate with the vegetation and geology of the place.
