Casa 1401
Begur, Baix Empordà
2014
The project envisions an annex pavilion unfolding in the heart of the forest, as if it had always been there, emerging from nature with subtlety and respect. A simple and pure volume, where geometry meets light and landscape, creating a refuge in which silence and contemplation take center stage. The U-shaped corten structure and lattice screens define interior spaces of intimacy and calm, where every ray of light and forest shadow shapes the experience of living.
Access is through the lower level, conceived as a sculptural gesture inviting one to ascend and discover the open, serene interior. The living area and bedroom share air and light, while the bathroom remains enclosed, intimate, and functional. The glazed façades, protected by lattice shutters, filter nature and sunlight, allowing the exterior to become part of the architecture. The pavilion, subtle and integrated, celebrates the connection between dwelling and landscape, where every detail reinforces the tranquility of the place.
