Casa 2208
Palau Sator, Baix Empordà
2022
The project is located in Palau-Sator, in a rural setting where the landscape unfolds with calm, and the house seeks to engage in dialogue with nature and the memory of the place. The intervention renews the existing dwelling with sensitivity, adding a basement and a pool that blend into the plot without altering its essence, preserving the presence of the annexes and reinforcing the continuity of outdoor spaces. Fences and paths are consolidated, terraces become stone walls that converse with the terrain, and light pergolas create shaded, intimate corners for enjoying the garden with serenity.
The house is conceived as a refuge that blends tradition and contemporaneity. The simple volumetry and the pitched roof preserve the architectural identity, while new openings allow light in and frame the views. Interiors are organized to provide comfort and functionality, with spaces for togetherness and others for quiet reflection. The basement and annexes expand the possibilities of the house, creating spaces for leisure and daily life. This renovation aims to make the house much more than a dwelling: a place where life and landscape meet in harmony.
