Casa 2217
Begur, Girona
2022
The house unfolds following the logic of the terrain, allowing the topography to define both its form and its presence. The volume is embedded within the slope with a discreet attitude, so that the architecture does not impose itself on the landscape but rather enters into dialogue with it. The gravel roof, positioned slightly above the street level, reinforces this idea of integration, turning the building into a continuation of the terrain itself while preserving the visual continuity of the surroundings.
This relationship with the ground allows the lower level to be partially integrated into the terrain, ventilating towards the north, while its roof becomes the terrace linked to the upper floor. Access occurs from the upper level, where the day areas open towards the exterior, while the lower level contains the bedrooms and the more private spaces of the house. Earth-toned pigmented concrete reinforces the unified character of the building and its connection with the site, shaping a continuous and restrained volume that seeks a calm and integrated presence within the landscape.
